Missing Months

 Unfortunately my phone died recently and we haven’t been able to access my photos.  This means that January-April will be empty until I can retrieve them.

Marathon

In January I started training to run a marathon.  I turn 42 this year and I loved the idea of running 42km.  The training required a lot of time.  Each week there were 2 or 3 hour runs plus speed training, hill training etc.  By March I started finding it difficult to fit it in. I was starting to not enjoy it. I made the decision to skip 3 weeks of training, having completed 13 of the 16 weeks, and just go for it.  At the last minute, I also decided to do it on the treadmill.  I suppose this might seem like “cheating” to some but it still felt right in my goal to run 42 km plus was easier to work around our schedule.
I awoke at 5am on April 1, which wasn’t a joke!, and started running around 6.  Mikayla stayed with me the whole time!  She encouraged me and handed me drinks.   
I had downloaded movies but I found the only thing that motivated me was upbeat music.
I’m glad to have met my goal!
I plan to run a half marathon outside around my birthday and then go back to the 5-10 km runs that I enjoy best:)
