April

April was full of stomach flu(everyone.....even me!) , Easter, visit from Gramma and the music festival.
All five kids performed this year so we spent a lot of time in the hall.  The kids played 14 songs and earned all gold and platinum awards with the exception of the boy's duet which earned silver.  The boys played their first solo songs as well as a duet and Mikayla joined the competitive level.  All three older kids earned category awards so they were pretty excited about that.

Start of the dreaded flu

Poor Jordan sick with the flu, hiding in our neighbours driveway waiting for a house showing to finish up.  This was the final viewing.....the people bought our house!

Daddy arriving home late for a visit.  Jordan excited to share the pineapple upside down cake that he helped to make.

My bed gets pretty full these days.

Moving

The last couple of months have been full of change.
Early in March, we received the call that Sean was being offered a transfer to Kelowna.  Two weeks later, Sean was gone, living in a downtown condo in Kelowna and working in his new store.  The kids and I stayed behind to help with house showings and continue on with their regular activities.  Three weeks after being listed our house sold.

Last Day with Sean

Sean has been trying to come back to visit every couple of weeks.  It's certainly challenging having him gone and trying to keep up with school, activities and life.
In April the kids and I went down with Sean to look at a couple of houses in Armstrong as we had made the decision to live out of Kelowna and have Sean commute.  The houses we viewed didn't work out.     It was disappointing because we went with the thought that we would be putting an offer on a house during that trip.  The houses just weren't right for us.

(Waking up in Sean's rental condo on our house hunting trip.)

Fishing Event at Polson Park

Last week, the kids and I went back down to look at some more houses.  House hunting with kids in tow is not the best idea but we made it work.
On May 9th(my birthday!), we viewed and put an offer on a great family home in Vernon.
Today, May 17, the subjects were lifted and the house is ours!

(Sneak Peek)

We are so thankful to now have a house to move into and make a home.
There are roughly 6 weeks left for us here before the movers come and pack us up.  We will spend a week and a half in the Kelowna condo, and then move into our new house during the second week of July.
I am counting down the days as we prepare to say goodbye to our home of six years.    We have made such amazing connections and relationships here in this town.  It will be very hard to leave but we are excited for the new adventures that await us.
We know that God has a plan for us and we are excited as we see it unfold.
