Early October

We spent October enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.  Kids are able to be participating in their music lessons and the pipeband is able to meet as a group and practice together each week.  We enjoyed drives through the country and visiting the pumpkin patch.  We had a socially distanced Thanksgiving dinner with Grandma.  We were able to take food to those who couldn't join us.  I'm thankful for such a mild and beautiful fall.

 

September

 The weather in September was beautiful!  We tried to head outdoors as much as possible.  It's a great way to fit in opportunity to see Grandma as well.  We visited Davison Orchards and went on various walks around Vernon.  We continue to visit Gigi at the window a few times each week.

Back to School 2020

Another year of school has begun for the Watson Clan.

This year I have 2 5th graders, 1 7th grader and 2 10th graders.

The boys have started the adventure of online schooling and are doing English 5 in this format.  Mikayla is doing online English and Science.  Aiden and Caileigh are doing primarily online courses with a couple through a Hybrid format.

Even amidst Covid, the kids are able to continue with some lessons.  Alex is continuing with Violin, Jordan and Caileigh are in piano and the oldest 3 and I are continuing with the Pipeband.  Jordan is also taking drumming lessons through the Pipeband.

Youth and Jr Youth are meeting weekly in a new format including socially distanced games and mask wearing.

Aiden had considered going to public school this year but due to all the changes with Covid, we decided this might not be the best year to join.  Staying course with online learning will probably prove to be the most consistent form of learning.  We can re-evaluate next year:)
