I sit here in constant shock at how quickly time flies. I have been in a "hibernation" mood lately. I am enjoying days at home with the kids reading, baking and spending time together. It has been cooler outside and although we try and get out each day, I am quite content to stay in the warm house with a pot of coffee brewing. I suppose it is the transition from summer to fall. I am content, and at peace.

During breakfast, I was doing devotions with the kids. We learned about Dorcas and how she was very helpful to those around her. After the story we sang some songs (all about Dorcas) and then we got ready to clear the table. Caileigh was very helpful and decided to wipe Aiden's side of the table as well as her own. I was so excited that she had listened to the story on helpfulness and decided to act on it. I commented to Caileigh that I was so proud that she was being helpful, just like Dorcas. Caileigh looks at me blankly, "Who's Dorcas?"

When Poppa and Gigi were visiting, Aiden was reciting the seven continents to them. He finished and then added "Burnaby" (where Poppa and Gigi are from). He paused for a moment and then replied, "you know, my map must have missed that one.

Poppa's 94!

My Grandparents came up for a visit this weekend. It was amazing to have them travel this far and to get to spend my Grandpa's 94th birthday with him. We enjoyed family meals and lot's of fun play. Poor Gigi had to suffer through hours of doll playing and block building watching. They also got entertained by a dance show.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Safeway does a lot to help raise money for this cause. For the third year in a row, Sean has dyed his hair pink in support. The 2 cashiers that raise the most money, get to shave Sean's hair off later in the month. Poor Mikayla took one look at him and burst into tears!

Perhaps he missed his calling as a Drag Queen?

We're alive and well. It seems that our days just fly by with little spare time. I seem to spend a lot of time chasing after the monkeys and vacuuming up tiny, un-edible particles of nothingness that Mikayla still manages to choke on.

The kids did my hair. Isn't it just Dah-ling.
I love to pick out the kids clothes each day and sometimes I enjoy coordinating their outfits. Caileigh, however, is a free spirit. Caileigh insists on dressing herself each day. She always manages to pair up the most outrageous combinations. This particular day, when we left the house, she had also paired this outfit with a pink plaid jacket and bright pink and purple winter boots.....lovely.
Mikayla loves to look at the posters that Caileigh and I made for her. And yes, she does enjoy ripping them apart and eating them too.
My poor attempt at getting a picture of the girls.

Christmas Card Photos.....Take 1

We had a busy weekend with a visit from Auntie Misty. Thank you for the wonderful visit and sorry you weren't feeling great. Hope you are feeling better now!
These pictures were taken with my camera today. It is working well except for a few glitches. There are water spots on the inside of the lens. You can see it in the bottom corner of the outdoor photos. Perhaps I can just crop these out. There is also difficulty getting the memory card to stay in. I'll keep playing around and see what I can come up with.

The kids seem to be feeling better although Mikayla's nose is still running and she slept HORRIBLY last night. We have been back to our regular routine and trying to enjoy the nice weather.

I was running the kids height/weight through the percentile charts and I found it interesting that for height Aiden is over 97%, Caileigh 85% and Mikayla 33%!! I wonder if she'll always be smaller? There goes the theory that subsequent kids are bigger.

Outing with Auntie

I am sitting here enjoying some quiet time while Mikayla naps and Aunt Misty has taken the older two out. Suddenly my email "pings" and I receive this picture.

Looks like they are having as much fun as I am!!
I hope you all enjoy these bath pictures. Moments after the last one was taken, Aiden decided that he was done holding Mikayla. In what I was sure to be her last moments alive, I dove into the water to rescue her, camera in hand. It is still drying out to see if we may be able to save it.

Here is a picture taken after. A little blurry, a few water spots.

Luckily, my Dad has come to the rescue and has lent me his camera to use until we get my squared away.
What would I do without taking pictures everyday?
( By the way, don't answer that)
