Student becoming Teacher

One of the joys and privileges of parenting is being able to teach your child.  I have to say it is equally rewarding to watch your child teach their siblings.  Aiden taught Mikayla to make pancakes this morning and the whole experience really warmed my heart:)

When the kids were all small, it seemed that there was always so much to document.  So many first experiences and milestones to keep track of.  Life was busy within the home as I moved from diaper change, to feeding, to nap, etc.
Time marches on and the kids are getting older.  The daily happenings are no less important to me now than they were then, but it seems harder to document as the happenings don't always fit into neat little categories.
We are busier than ever between activities and homeschooling, yet I strive to create  precious, slow paced moments. These are the memories that I want my kids to have.  Moments of spending time together, sharing in fun and pleasure, being with family and friends.
I love being able to put this blog into a book at the end of each year.  The kids love to pour over the pages of the past and see themselves and hear stories of our adventures.  I hope I can find a way to continue to share all the little things that make up our family and their childhood.
 I am blessed beyond measure.
