Happy 4th Birthday Caileigh

My sweet Bear, you are 4 years old. I can still remember when you were born and you felt incredibly small in your 8 lb 10 oz body. You had impossibly big blue eyes and the cutest elf ears. You were a content, happy baby yet liked to study and warm slowly to new people and situations.

There has always been a spunkiness about you that has only grown in time. You have an infectious giggle and an energetic way about you. You have a gift with people and are empathetic and compassionate. You may seem quiet and shy at times but there is a strength lying behind this. You have an ability to make people follow you and they are unaware that they are doing so. You practice this skill with your brother and he is non the wiser, as of yet.

You love to dress up and play princess and house. You script your play and others are expected to follow. You are relentless in your efforts to include everyone in your dramatic play.

You started dancing on your second birthday and have not stopped since. You have a natural ability to learn the steps and work hard. You are a perfectionist and this shows in your dancing. You are also a perfectionist when it comes to learning. You are reading, writing and engaging in kindergarten math. You love to color and create pictures.

You have had many nicknames over the years. Cail, Bear, Bugga Boo, Baby Doll, Caileigh Mac, CB, Wee Lassie and Princess among others. You are a great big sister and dote on your little sister and brothers.

You have a quaintness and maturity about you and in some ways it is hard to believe that you are only turning 4. You are polite and thoughtful.

I love who you were, who you are and who you are becoming. I am so proud to be your Mom.
