It has been a whirlwind of a time but we are home and happy.
Yesterday I had the procedure done on my spinal headache and was walking around within an hour! We came home last night and it feels wonderful and surreal.
I still can't believe that we are proud parents to two beautiful boys. I can't believe we are parents to 5 amazing children.
We are so blessed and look forward to this time to grow as a family.
I will update as I can but it truly feels like hours float by and I am still sitting in the same position thinking of all the things I should be doing.
I look at everything that we have been through in the last 5 days and it makes me grateful for my health and the time I have had to heal and bond. Sean was able to stay in hospital with me and help with the babies as I was unable to get out of bed. This time with him has been so special and unlike any experience he has had with our other children.
Our family has come together to help with the "big" kids and they have been well taken care of. I dare say they have been quite spoiled too!!
(A kind nurse was able to sneak our camera into the OR and take some pictures for us!)

Meeting the Family
The two love being close to one another. They sleep best when together and seem unbothered by each other's noises and movements. It is amazing how well the two are nursing and they latched instantly and I have had no pain or discomfort in this area. Both boys were up several ounces when we left the hospital yesterday and my milk is in.
People have been asking if they are fraternal and identical and we still don't know. It appeared, after surgery, that the placenta was indeed one but we are waiting for pathology results and should find out this week. The boys do seem quite different because of their weight difference, although, I find that as they both are starting to fill out a little more that in certain positions, I can't tell them apart.
They love to try and nurse the other's head. Check out the grip that Jordan has on poor Alex's ear.
Look at those boys! I love how they seem so connected to each other. Love the vice grip :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you and the boys are doing well!
