Last night was the annual church dinner. The kids love this night of the year and look forward to it for many months.
I've been teaching Sunday School since September (something I am really enjoying!) and the kids have been busy practicing their songs and memory verse. The kids also helped to decorate the church, make the napkin rings and name places.
In our family, Alex is probably the most enthusiastic when it comes to singing. Every night before bed he likes to practice his songs with me. Well, wouldn't you know that last night he was unavailable in the bathroom during the performance and he missed it! Jordan, who normally will not participate in singing and actions, had the time of his life. He jumped up and down the entire time and after one of the songs when the church members clapped he shouted out, "Mommy! They're clapping for me!" I think he may have been bit by the performance bug. I was so disappointed that Alex missed it but he was unbothered and just happy to have his candy bag:)
It was a wonderful night spent with church family.
