Yesterday we said goodbye to Sean's youth. Well, not quite, but we did say goodbye to the truck that Sean has faithfully driven for the last 12 years. When Sean and I first met 11 years ago, this was the truck that we would take impromptu trips in. We were always looking for new places to explore, fish and camp. Sean was quite sad to see it go but we feel that we will get more use out of having the two mini-vans. This way both vehicles are family friendly and we can divide and conquer when it comes to errands and outings.
Sunday night was meant to be our "final farewell drive", however 5 mins. down the road I realized it wasn't a good idea. A very pregnant woman driving in a pick up is a sure fire way to start up labour! We were in it for a total of 30mins and I had over 6 contractions and felt miserable the whole time. I think I would rather remember the good times of the past and stoically let the truck go.
sad day, but exciting, too? i tried to sit down to call you several times today but was always distracted, sidetracked, or suddenly needed by a child!
ReplyDeleteI notice that your ticker says 35 weeks and 3 days...way to go keeping those babies in! I love Mikayla's belly in the second last photo:)
ReplyDeleteDitto on Mikki's little beer belly. She's clearly been stacking away the oatmeal these days!!
