We were able to celebrate Gigi's 101st Birthday with family. It was a fun weekend as the kids were able to swim together and enjoy spending time.
Jordan found a knife in our backyard so Bupee bought him a knife sharpener.
Alex is fascinated by all things Japanese so he was thrilled to go to the library for a Japanese activity.
Nanny and Bupee visited and the kids enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool and having treats in the restaurant.
Buddy fell asleep dreaming of runs with me:)
Cail and I went for a run/bike for my birthday. I was so excited about doing this. We were up early and hit the trail by 7. The day was perfect and I loved getting to spend this time with her. We ran 5km down the rail trail and then came back. I most regularly run 5kms because I find if I add too much mileage my iron goes down too quickly and I develop a sore hip. Every year on my birthday, however, I run 10km just to see if I still can.
40 means kittens. Thanks for the gorgeous new birthday outfit Christie.
Mik knows of my love for all things Starbucks:)
A Safeway employee friend made me birthday cupcakes:)
Mik performed in her musical theater group. She did a great job and enjoyed participating in this for the year.
Mothers Day lunch with Gigi and Gma. We were able to take Gigi to church next door to the seniors home and then take her out for lunch at Bean 2 Cup. It was so special to have the four generations together for the morning. For dinner Sean barbecued chicken.
Alex has become the king of pedicures. Another Mother's Day treat!
Mik knitted a blanket for my cousin's little boy.
Gardom Lake field trip. this is the second time we've gone and the kids really enjoy participating in the kayaking, ropes course, archery and rock climbing. If only it wasn't so wet and cold this year!
The kids got to participate in the Falkland parade with the Pipe Band
The girls did great with their first pies.
This is Caileigh's.
Aiden really enjoys playing basketball and he's found a challenge with his friend who's taller than him!
Alex knitted a sleeping bag for Snow Girl.
Warm lake days.
Pool Days
The older three received a bursary to help them attend the Piping Hot Summer Drummer camp on Silver Star in July. Here they were presented with their award.
We had a new roof put on the house. I never enjoy putting money into things like this but it is worth it in the long run.
And always laundry
