Two years ago, Sean tried to build an ice rink and it didn't work. (built too close to the septic field and a hole/leak in the tarp) He decided to try again this year but made the rink smaller and at the front of the yard. We are so excited that it worked! The kids all loved skating. I even skated for the first time in roughly 20 years. I'm even thinking if this homeschool gig doesn't work out, I may try out for the ice capades!!
Oh My Gosh!! As a lover of skating, this warms my heart!! Good for you Sean, it worked this time! The kids look like they love it and Ashley, look at you, go for it girl!!! Have fun all of you!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteSO FABULOUS! I'm so happy for you! How great that it's right there for you! Can you let the big kids out for some exercise without you, and keep the littles in with you? Though I doubt they'd like being stuck inside. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the benches! That pic of them all and the Christmas lights ... swoon worthy!
ReplyDeleteWe have a homemade rink too! It is so to just be able to put on our skates and for a skate instead of having to drive to a public rink. This is the first time we have made one and Ian and I are already planning next years rink, we want to make it bigger!
