We're having some challenges with our youngest three. The little guys are testing the limits like never before and failing to listen. Mikayla has taken to hiding when we call her, both at home and in public situations. Both situations are not good. In fact, it is very, very bad. So, in an attempt to deal with the issues at hand, we have decided to............
Get A Puppy!
Yes, we figure why not deal with all the challenging issues at once. We are entering a bootcamp of sorts and I am declaring this summer, "Project Lockdown". The puppy arrives on June 16th, unbeknownst to the kids, so please don't tell!
I am going to make myself a list of things to work on to help the with the transition.
Goal #1- Get little boys to listen
Goal #2- Get Mikayla to stop hiding
Goal #3- Train puppy
There! Easy! Right?

Oh Ashley you are so funny! I think that a puppy is a great idea. Mikayla will be distracted and will probably forget about hiding. The little boys will be so busy "training" and loving the pup that they might get trained at the same time. Summer is the very best time for house breaking a puppy, what kind of dog is it? I really look forward to the photos. Who will get to choose a name for the new family member?

Puppy is a male golden retriever. We are leaning towards naming Puppy ourselves. The only thing is Sean hates the naming process and really thought he was done after the boys. Let's just say we're having trouble agreeing! Sean took a few photos when he was in Prince George picking him out, but they're pretty terrible. I can't wait to get him here and get a good look!
ReplyDeletecan't wait. totally can't wait to see how this goes down. And by "goes down" I mean, you're gonna rock it! Can't wait to see you all in just over a month.
