Please keep Alex in your prayers. He received a 2nd degree burn today from touching a hot vent. We need to keep his hand bandaged for the next few days until we see the Dr. again. The inside of his hand is badly blistered and must be quite painful for him. He is an amazing trooper though!! I'll keep you updated on his status.
Oh yikes! Praying!
ReplyDeleteOh no, poor little guy! Will pray for him tonight.
ReplyDeleteoh, buddy! So sad. Two of my boys had burns on their hands and I was amazed at how resilient they were through the recovery. It was actually a fairly quick recovery. Just be sure he doesn't dip his hand in the toilet when you have no one there to help you change his bandage. :( What kind of vent got so hot?
ReplyDeleteHi Ash and Sean:
ReplyDeleteIt is likely that you feel more pain then he does.
Parenthood! Sometimes scary but always interesting. Lots of times just pure joy.
Hi Alex: You will get through this and have a story for YOUR grandchildren.
Hugs to you all.
He will heal well and quickly - try to keep the blisters intact once the larger dressing comes off. Perhaps the Dr. or health unit could give you a few (Mepilex with border) dressings to fit the size of wound. They stick well, pad and protect and come off without disturbing the blister. Great for a busy boy! You are all in my prayers :)
