During breakfast, I was doing devotions with the kids. We learned about Dorcas and how she was very helpful to those around her. After the story we sang some songs (all about Dorcas) and then we got ready to clear the table. Caileigh was very helpful and decided to wipe Aiden's side of the table as well as her own. I was so excited that she had listened to the story on helpfulness and decided to act on it. I commented to Caileigh that I was so proud that she was being helpful, just like Dorcas. Caileigh looks at me blankly, "Who's Dorcas?"

When Poppa and Gigi were visiting, Aiden was reciting the seven continents to them. He finished and then added "Burnaby" (where Poppa and Gigi are from). He paused for a moment and then replied, "you know, my map must have missed that one.

  1. "Who's Dorcas?" Ha ha, she got the being helpful part though. Cute story!

  2. When I was in Kenya, one of my favourite little girls there was named Dorcas. She is the one who told me it came from the bible, I never even knew. Cute Caileigh:)
