Birthdays in our family have a tendency to get spread out. This year we did gifts and cake for Aiden on Sunday evening while Bupee was visiting. After Aiden opened his Lego gift from Bupee he disappeared downstairs to build it. 8 hours later (with a sleep in between) he finished!
On Tuesday, Aiden's actual birthday, we went to Kamloops for the day. Aiden wanted to go swimming at the pool, eat lunch from A & W and get slurpees from 7-11. We were able to accommodate all his wishes.
The Kamloops pool was so much fun!! All the kids enjoyed the water slide and could go down independently. I had been nervous that the boys wouldn't want to go down without us but they had no fear. You could hear them going down the whole way cheering and squealing. Aiden also surprised us by going off all the various diving boards including the highest one! (5m)
It really was a fun day.
Today we went to Williams Lake to take the kids mini-golfing. The kids had a fantastic time and really enjoyed themselves. I must say, it was the most run down, tired looking mini-golf establishment that I have ever been to. Good thing the kids thought it was amazing.
