Aiden monkey, you are five years old. When you were first born I could never imagine a time five years from then. I never imagined that the time would go so quickly or that so much could happen in such a short time. We moved to a new town, you acquired four more siblings and you have matured and grown immensly.
You are a character. You march to your own drummer and have strong individuality. You love to combine interesting clothing combinations and wear socks with sandals. Rubber boots are a favorite and you are often wearing gloves to protect your hands from "dangerous" activities.
You love to invent things. You are
constantly, always, creating things indoors and out.
You love to read and often fall asleep at night with your nose in a book. You are independently reading beginner books and enjoy learning about ever changing topics.
You are passionate about Lego and spend at least two hours a day, creating and recreating. You plan out what you are going to make and it often coincides with something we have seen or talked about the day before.
You are joyful and full of energy. You go full throttle from the time your feet hit the ground in the morning until you crash in bed at night.
You are an amazing big brother. You think we should have 8 more children and when I explain to you that our family is complete, you always reply, "you never know......." although this time, I think we do. You love to find impromptu ways to be helpful and often surprise me by cleaning and organizing your room or vacuuming the floors
Aiden I look forward to seeing where the next year takes us. I know it will be full of adventure and laughter and that I will look back with only the fondest memories.
