When the kids were all small, it seemed that there was always so much to document. So many first experiences and milestones to keep track of. Life was busy within the home as I moved from diaper change, to feeding, to nap, etc.
Time marches on and the kids are getting older. The daily happenings are no less important to me now than they were then, but it seems harder to document as the happenings don't always fit into neat little categories.
We are busier than ever between activities and homeschooling, yet I strive to create precious, slow paced moments. These are the memories that I want my kids to have. Moments of spending time together, sharing in fun and pleasure, being with family and friends.
I love being able to put this blog into a book at the end of each year. The kids love to pour over the pages of the past and see themselves and hear stories of our adventures. I hope I can find a way to continue to share all the little things that make up our family and their childhood.
I am blessed beyond measure.

Santa Clause Parade 2014
It was the annual Santa Clause parade tonight. So early in the season this year!
The kids didn't mind one bit.
Caileigh and Mikayla enjoyed being on the Safeway float again as Cindy Lou Who.
Aiden and Sean ran beside the float handing out candy.
Alex and Jordan had so much fun and were thrilled with every single moment.
Alex kept shouting, "Everyone loves us!", because of all the waves he was receiving.
Fun for everyone:)

First Official, Although Unannounced Snow
I admit to having a slight obsession with the weather channel. Long before it's light enough to look out the window and see what the weather is doing, I am checking the station to see what it says will happen. These two don't always line up.
Today the forecast was for cold temperatures and blue sunny skies, very much like it has been for the past week. Imagine my surprise when I looked out the window to see that it was snowing!
Although the snow was lightly falling, it continued to do so all day. The kids are thrilled and enjoyed hours playing outside in the sub zero temperatures.
I guess this is officially it.
Winter has hit the Cariboo...........
